October 2004 saw another new venture for David & DTKM when he took a bold step outside the “Organ & Keyboard World” to put on a show in a small theatre for the general public. Teaming up with two good friends Tanya Lee and Colin Wyatt, David’s ATELIER became both a solo and accompaniment instrument for their delightful Vocal talents. This first show was a great success and the three have gone on to perform several times since, and were joined by Sally Darby.
Tanya Lee’s love of music and singing goes back to her childhood. She hails from Hadleigh, Essex, working nearby as a print estimator. As a keen member of her local Operatic and Dramatic Society since 1999 Tanya has performed in numerous stage productions and taken solos in many concert shows. Her last role being that of Irene Molloy in a production of “Hello Dolly”.
Sally Darby is the most recent member to join the In Harmony group. Living in Wickford, Essex by day she works as an account manager for a large local business. She has always loved singing and acting and for many years belonged to the same Operatic & Dramatic Society as both Tanya and Colin, having appeared with them in many productions. Throughout the show she if found on stage in solo and duet form.
By day Colin Wyatt is a very successful freelance artist and has been illustrating children’s books and comics for more than forty years. Co creator of the “Poddington Peas”, his work can be found worldwide with no less than the Disney Corporation being one of his clients. Colin has been member of an Operatic and Dramatic Society for nearly 20 years from 1985 and has taken principal roles in more than twenty musicals and plays, as well as performing in many concerts. Colin’s voice has won him competitions and his love of music and singing is more than evident from his performances.
David has been performing as a keyboard player since the late 1970’s. His love of the stage and entertaining in general led to the formation of IN HARMONY. Together with Colin and Tanya the first show they performed brought together something special. Since then and with the joining of Sally Darby, David is thrilled to bits with the response the four of them get to their productions.
